A lot of you girls have known me for a long time, and some of you know I did a blog on "Valentine Grams". (Go to 'Show All Blogs' and click page 4.) I wasn't that good at making icons then, but now I am more experienced at it!

If you girls want a "Just Because" Gram, just follow these simple steps and comment!

-Tell me who you are sending the gram to (If you want to send more than one, that it okay! Just tell me ALL of the names.)

-What you want the message to say

-Anything special that you want it to have?

Well, that's pretty much it! If you or a friend want a "Just Because" Gram, comment!

XoXo,

Ali♥

For each post I write, I would love replies! I would also really appreciate requests and ideas, if you like!

Buy a pack of plain thin bangles. You could buy coloured ones if thats all they have, but you will be covering it with string anyway. Buy various colours of embroidery thread and buy some sequins and maybe a few beads (not too big). Now completely wrap one colour around the bangle - start by getting the end and taping it to the inside of the bangle really nice and tight, then wrapping it round the bangle so you cant see the colour of the bangle. Then take other strings and thread them round the bangle in a zig zag pattern, or a wavy pattern, etc, starting in the same way. Glue beads and sequins on the front with strong glue, and leave it to dry. There you have it! Easy peasy!

If each post I write gets a few replies/backatchas, I will write another... feel free to ask questions and request!

Take some normal wire or jewellery wire, some small craft gems you can get from your local craft store, and some earring hooks. Your wire could be bought pink, or blue, etc, or it could be white, black or grey for you to paint the colour you want. You could also dip it in glue, then glitter! But remember, only paint it once you have made your handbag shape. Ok, first. Bend it round into a small rectangle, with no perfect sharp corners, just curved slightly. Now take another snip of wire and shape it into a wide \/ shape, almost like the opening of a purse, wide enough to fit inside the small rectangle. Fold it round the top corners of the rectangle shape so it stays. Maybe add a tiny bit of glue to keep it secure. Now take a gem, and give it a dab of glue to stick in the center of the \/. Take a bit of wire and bend it round to make the handle. Dab either end with a bit of glue and fiddle and fold it round to fit onto the rectangle shape again. It should turn out like a handbag shape. Add a bit of wire to hook onto the earring hook. If you want to be creative buy a cute charm to hang from the bottom of the handbag shape. Perfect!

Hey guys, so I am going to move into a new house in a new neighborhood. Wer'e not EXACTLY sure yet, but we think we will. If we do, I need ideas for my new room. I need you to tell me the color to paint it [if my parents will let me], what my new bed [and bedframe] should look like, what my comfortor should look like, furniture in the room? beanbag?computer desk?  other? I want my room to look AWESOME. Plz send in your comments and ideas, and pictures would be helpful. Also, please name prices of the items and where to get them [if possible]. Thanks! I need a cheap room design, but cool. My room has a flat ceiling on the very top, but the slants downwards, so it kind of has a / \ shape.

If each post I write gets more than 5 replies I will write another DIY Club post. Also request anything you would like me to have a go at or research and post up on here. Thanks x

This stuff can be a boring subject but all you have to do is search, dish out this weeks pocket money and bish bash bosh! You have an exciting new set of supplies. Go up to town with friends or your family and look around every shop that sells any kind of pencils, biros, folders, books, etc. Find anything thats cheap, even if its a completely cheap black binder for example. Then, go into a card shop (After you've bought everything you need) and pick out the maximum of 5 of your fave wrapping papers. You will need a glue stick for this. Buy any extra big gift ribbons if they look good, as well as just plain ribbon if you want to aswell. Then go home and cut all your wrapping paper into halves. Then, cut 5 of those halves into about 5cm squares, and the other 5 halves into 10-20 cm squares. You can cut with jagged scissors if you like. Now take your pencil and glue on all of your 5cm squares in a patchwork form. If you have ribbon, snip a bit off and tie it round the bottom of the pencil with a bow. Gorgeous!. With your binders and folders, use the 10-20cm squares. You could also stick on photos and if you bought any, some big gift ribbons in the top corners. Perfect !

Hello, welcome to DIY club. If each post I write gets more than 5 replies, I write out another DIY club post. You can also request what you would like me to do next!

Lipbalm-

Mix old eyeshadows (pinks, reds, purples are best) or an old lipstick with vaseline, and microwave it in a microwavable bowl for small amounts of time so it doesnt burn, and keep heating it up til it turns to liquid. Pour into a container.

Nail polish-

Mix an old eyeshadow, a pinch of glitter and a few drops of another nail polish with a clear nail polish. Shake it first, then stir it around quite hard with the nail polish brush til its all mixed together. You get a lovely, shiny, glittery nail polish with a cute tint to it - and you chose the colours and mixed it yourself!!

Glitter mascara-

Add some eyeglitter or body glitter to a clear mascara. Its quick, easy and simple but you may need to lay down some tissue paper just to stop any bits of glitter getting everywhere! Remember to mix it exactly the same as you would with the nail polish above.

Remember, comment if you have any requests, but if you dont and you just want to say Could be better! or I'll try that! or Very good!, go ahead!

Hey girlies!

I know I'm probably not the only one with parents who literally groan at the price of school supplies today . . . After all, who wants to pay 5 or 6 bucks a pop for new notebooks, or shell out 5 bucks for those 6 pack of pens ("But mooo-oom, they're pink, personalized, AND have a pom-pom on top!") Definitely not my parents, and probably not yours either. Still want cute supplies? No prob . . . With a rainy afternoon, some plain notebooks and pens, and a few dollars well spent at the dollar store, you'll have those cute supplies for less in no time! Bonus: Mom and Dad will probably be so thankful for the savings, they might splurge on that cute new tee you really, really wanted!

First things first! Head out to the nearest dollar store and stock up on notebooks, green duct tape or floral tape, a couple of fake flowers, some cute wrapping paper, stickers, white glue and general bling to make you stuff stand out! Then head over to an office supply or grocery store to grab some good quality binders. It's really important to get the durable kind because they can last for a couple of years, and won't break on ya right before that huge science test! Tip: Check at home first . . . You might have some of this stuff hanging around and not even know it!

Then organize all your stuff on the table . . . We'll start with the notebook. Basically you need to create your glue mix, which is 3/4 white glue and 1/4 water. Then cut a piece of wrapping or tissue paper to size, and spread the glue mix all over the front of your notebook. Stick the paper down, and roll a pencil or pen over it to remove air bubbles. This is the fun part! Pull out some old magazines, earrings, sparkles, maybe one of those fake flowers, and then add another layer of the glue mix to the front cover of your notebook. Then stick on whatever pleases you, then add another layer and let it dry. You can also repeat this process with the back cover once the front is done, but you don't have to! And voila!

Now for the pens . . . Did you buy as many little flowers as pens you have? Good! Grab a pen, and cut the wire stem of the flower down to where it reaches the middle of the pencil if the actual flower part is on top. Then, take the green tape and start wrapping it around the pen from the top to the bottom, making sure to hold the wire in place while you do this. Ta da! You have a cute flower pen! You can also do this with other things like pom-poms or pipe cleaners. Be creative!

These are just a couple of ideas to cute-ify your school supplies, but you don't have to stop here! You can Google "homemade ________ decorations" or find a craft site for more ideas! You can also be creative and experiment . . . I'm sure other people have done these crafts, but I thought of them myself, and you can too! I hope you have as much fun making these as I did . . .

Happy school!

Ali

Today I decided that I did not have to be all fashion girly girl like I usually am and put on a cute dress and sandals, combed my hair and added a little touch of magic to my face and called it good. Then I went over to my friends house and did some craft magic! This I thought was even better then the face magic earlier. She instructed me to bring this big bag of pop tabs my great-grandma gave me like a year ago that she saw last time she was snooping around my room. When I went over to her house she had some ah-dorable satin olive green and lavender ribbon out, and a page to a craft book open to making pop tab bracelets! They are fun easy and simple, plus they are not all just craftiness, last year Kristen Stewart was spotted wearing this awesome bracelet! So I encourage all of you to go ahead and make your own, for a link to learn how click here. ------>How to Make a Pop Tab Bracelet - Pop Tab Bracelet Tutorial This is the best one I found online, the closest and the best to ours! Yay for craftiness!

So, for those of you who didn't know: I am obsessed with Nancy Drew. I LOVE the herinteractive games, the books, everything. A few weeks ago, I was searching the web for some Nancy Drew stuff. I found this site called The Sleuth Shop and found some really cute stuff. I found this little Nancy Drew charm in the jewelry section for around $10 plus shipping and handling. I just had to have it! I ordered it and a week later, it came in the mail. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to find some beads and bead stoppers to make a necklace with this charm and it just turned out being so cute! I love it.

Lazy summer days are ending soon, come August and September school will be in full swing once more. But before you think doom-and-gloom of homework, tests, and icky cafeteria food check out this totally cheap and chic back to school do it your self notebook.

Personalizing your notebooks is simple, unique, and a ton of fun! Follow this how-to and it will definitely get your buds asking how you made your school supplies so cute!

My notebook: I made the one featured in the picture, a Parisian theme, my love for the Eiffel Tower and all things French seemed like the perfect way to go. ~~~I started off with scrap book paper as the base, then added the pink ribbon on the corners, I found the dark purple added the words Notes From:, then glued the pink flower down, the Eiffel Tower on the right hand side with the word Paris at the top, then the stamp like logo over the flower, the words Special Paris Edition, then the words la vie charme' (which roughly translates to "charm life" or "the charmed life.")

What you need: (the decorating items are just suggestions, feel free to use what ever you have at home or what your willing to buy and add- be creative!)

A notebook-the classic black & white composition kind. Extra + buy it at the nearest dollar store and your saving cash already!
Scissors & A Glue Stick- These should be household items, if not your crazy! (Just kidding head to the grocery store's office supply line.)
Ribbon-Left over from a birthday present, Christmas wrapping, scrapbook supplies? I used pink ribbon from a birthday present bag.
Scrapbook Paper-If you have it or want to buy it it's a great background to start from. I used a print from my paper collection I already had, but buying one sheet at a time is usually under a dollar.
Magazine Pictures/Words-Last months issue of Bop, Girl's Life, Seventeen, ect. could have some pretty sweet pictures of your favorite singer/pair of shoes/cute colors/words that describe you/ or a place you want to visit.
Pictures- Have a Best Buddies Forever shot worth gluing on? Or a favorite pet doing something cute? A photo near and dear to your heart? Add it!
Cards- I always keep birthday, thank you, and holiday cards, you never know when cutting one up could look totally cute

Extra Tips - Reading them would be beneficially!

*Make sure your okay with cutting up parts of you magazine, and double check to make sure there isn't something cooler on the other side of the page to cut out!
*Spiral bound notebooks required for class? Use your decorated on for a planner- jot down homework due dates, when your next big test is, or when your next after school activity is!
*Try decking out each notebook to match what class you use if for- finding bright letters that spell out Algebra.
*It doesn't have to be perfect, randomly placed pieces and overlapping words and pictures actually looks better!

I'd love to see what some of you girls put together!- Comment with a picture if you like, or more suggestions/ ideas for everyone! Be creative and have fun!

Love from DIY Teen, Gina

this bracelet is super easy, super cheap and super good for the environment! thanks to this blog you can learn how to make your own!

what you need:

a pair of strong kitchen scissors

a pair of jeans

tape measure

a sharpie

optional(but fun!)

anything you want to decorate with. jewels, different types of cloth, glitter get creative!!!

1.measure your wrist with the tape measure.

2.cut a leg off your jeans. cut the leg in half going vertically(up and down).

3.get your sharpie and tape measure and mark how wide your wrist was. add half an inch to that measurement. next decide how long you want your bracelet to be. a good length for a bracelet is about 4 in. mark the length horizontally on your leg and cut out your bracelet.

4.now look at the hem on the bottom of your pants leg.cut the hem off and cut it in half

5.if you want to decorate your bracelet decorate it now. make sure to give anything like paint or glue time to dry.

6.take the bracelet and wrap it around your wrist now take the hem wrap it around the bracelet, and tie it.cut off the ends but leave a small amount of the ends because you will need them to put the bracelet back on. to take off the bracelet untie the hem and to put back on the bracelet retie the hem.

Hey everyone! I'm thinking of how i want to decorate my room. I've already picked out a bed set. (See picture) I love this pattern! Since it has so many different colors in it, you can really get creative on what to do with the rest of your room. I'm thinking light green walls, purple curtains, and a pink rug to match the sheets. I'm trying to think of things to hang on the wall. I could probably do some drawings and paintings to be framed. That would be cool because i could make it whatever i wanted. (Think: Purple zebra swimming in the ocean, Ha. not really) lol. I wish i could find a bigger pic of the comforter, but this was all i could find. Do any of you have any tips? Or some before and after pics of your own room? All is appreciated :)
