I climbed in the tiny, 4 door car my father owned. I cant say that I was comfortable with this situation. What if we didn't get along? What if he's not used to having a kid and he mistreats me? He's the only one I have left. As I was thinking all of these crazy thoughts, we pulled up to a beautiful 2 story house with a 2 car garage and a huge front door. It looked like one of those expensive houses that you wanted to play hide and seek in as a child. My dad helped me get my bags out of the car, and as we walked up the front steps leading to the door, a little boy opened the front door and looked at me with such amazement. It was as if he had never seen a girl my age before. Or maybe he just thought I looked funny.
"Emma, thats Jason, hes your half brother."
I looked at my father, "Your married?"
"Yes, ma'am! I've been married for about 3 years now, I think you'll like your step-mom."
My dad opened the door for me and I stepped in. Immediately, I smelled hamburgers being cooked and I heard the sizzling of bacon. I felt so small compared to the house. It was huge!...

"I'll show you where to goooo!" Jason cheered. He was such a cute little boy! He couldn't have been older then 5. He grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs to a room that was at least twice the size of my old room. I just looked at it in amazement. I hadn't been here long, but it already felt like home. A real home. I set my stuff down in my room and walked downstairs to meet my step-mom and the family for dinner.
"Hello Emma, I'm Jenny, your step-mom!" She had a huge smile on her face and I could tell it wasn't fake. She had a genuine personality, so polite! And I couldn't help but smile when I saw her face. She was beautiful! She had long, dark hair and big brown eyes. She didn't even have to wear a lot of makeup. She was gorgeous! We all sat down at the table to talk about our life, and while Jason was confused about what we were saying, we were deep  into conversation. I had come to this house expecting the worse to happen, but when I arrived, I found people that already cared about me without knowing me. I could tell they were trying not to make me feel uncomfortable, and I liked it. I had gotten sick of being alone at the old house. I was tired of not having anyone to talk to. Now I had my dad, my step-mom, and even little Jason...

Okay guys, thats chapter 3! Tell me what you think :)

*music fades*
Anchor: Hello! Welcome to the HSM news. I’m your anchor, _____.
Co-anchor: and I’m your co-anchor, _____.
Anchor: Now, as you know, it’s interjection awareness week.
Co-anchor: Yes, and this is a very serious matter.
Anchor: Indeed it is. Today’s top story: 3 local students from junior high school are taking a stand against people who don’t know what interjections are. Here’s a picture of the students.
**shows picture on screen**
Co-anchor: Now, anchor, these students have been really dedicated to getting the word out about interjections. They’re written to the newspapers and even attended anti-interjection rallies.
Anchor: That’s correct co-anchor. Our field reporter, __________, has more on the story. Reporter?

**cut to field scene**

Reporter: Thanks anchor. As you can see, I’m out on the field and Im very concerned about this issue. I support the students here. So many people don’t understand that interjections are words that describe emotion in a sentence. An example of an interjection could be “Oh my gosh! I forgot to feed my cat.” If you didn’t say the interjection, your sentence would be rather calm and boring. Another example could be “Watch out! There’s a car coming.” In that sentence, the interjection could change the matter of life or death for a friend. This is a very serious issue. Back to you anchor!

**cut to 2nd news room scene**

Anchor: Thanks reporter.
Co-anchor: Wow! She’s very passionate about this!
Anchor: You know, “wow” is another interjection.
Co-anchor: I didn’t realize how often we use interjections when we talk!
Anchor: We use them all the time, co-anchor. And there are so many! Oh man, ouch, look out, wow, and OMG are all interjections! You can even use them to describe a sound. For example, I could say, “Superman punched him in the face. Pow!”
Co-anchor: A few words can really add emotion or sound to a sentence!
Anchor: That’s right co-anchor!
Co-anchor: I’m proud of those students for getting the word out. Everyone should know about this issue.
Anchor: Well, that’s all the time we have! This is _______ and ________ signing off!
Co-anchor: Thanks for watching HSM news.
Anchor: Everyone have a great day.

The moon shone through the window, leaving a puddle of moonlight on the floor right next to my bunk. I couldn't sleep, so I lay there thinking. What could be wrong with camp? The question repeated itself over and over in my mind. I slammed my face into the pillow. Sleep was essential for a demigod, so I was pretty sure that being awake at 2:30am was really going to help in the morning. I rolled my eyes, and then realized I wasn't talking to anyone but myself.
~
Breakfast was slow. Chiron announced that we had a few new campers, and the canoe races would be held at the canoe lake, as usual. We also had Capture the Flag tonight, and chariot Races on Saturday. I groaned as I was swept up by the early morning breakfast crowd. None of the Ares kids looked like they wanted to beat me up, so I figured my day was going better than I thought. ♦

Oh, wow. I'm getting lazy. xD Please comment!

(You are out there,
Playing on the field
And laughing and you pause
To look at the one you left behind,
A heart that is still broken.
Do you see the scar that you left?) - chorus
I lay at night
And think about what happened that day
And it does not satisfy me
Because I know
I could have done better.
I woke up in the morning
And wish you could hear me crying
What were you supposed to do
When I told you I was having bad dreams
About a someone named you?
I'm trying to move on now
But somehow I keep falling
Why can't you catch me now?
Why don't you care?

OKAY CHAPTER 5 IS NOW HERE... WARNING IT MAYBE VERY SAD... OKAY HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*********************************************** *

Once the door cleared from my veiw, I saw a woman and man, they looked just like Kieran. "Mother, Father. May I interdouce you to Katilian.'' Kieran said, strained. I smiled and waved polietly. But next I know I see lightening flying towards me. I jumped out of the way and started to get angry.

''Huh, strong aren't we, Darkk Angel? That was suppose to be invisable to you, seeing how your brand new." Kieran's father said.   " Leave me alone!" I yelled, feeling wind twirl around me. Huh, so I controled wind and fire... cool. I heard Kieran yell stop but I didn't know who it was to.

Then a giant red bolt came flying from Kieran's mother's throne. I ducked and thought of fire-balls shooting out at her. The fire hedead my command and flew. I heard her scream at the oncoming fire, so I said, ''Stop, diminish!" They again hedeaded my commands and I heard gasps all over the room.

''Kieran, she's too strong. We don't want her here.'' They said at the same time. I instantly started to cry. I ran out the room, through the door I came through. I ran through the halls till I sunk onto the floor and wept.

Then I heard Kieran yelling for me, so I ran into the nearest room. It had a grand piano, and on the stand of the piano was music. I walked over to see it was music and lyrics. So I sat down and started to play and sing the song,

'' No matter how much you love me,         ;        & nbsp;       &nb sp;         ;

I still will never be aceptted! Oh,oh,oh

You can't see, that your parents don't like me

Because we're bitter enemys, Even if I how to not hurt you.

Oh, baby can't you see! Oh,oh,oh,oh,oh No baby, I'm sorry.''

''That took me forever to learn, yet you picked it up  in seconds and sung and play beautifuly." I heard someone say. I turned around and saw Kieran's mother standing in the doorway. I smiled and said, ''Thanks, you wrote that?'' She nodded and moved closer to me. "Kieran heard you voice, so did my husband. They stopped instantly and listened to it. When they stopped, I came here, and found you. Only the talented can find this room. And you are talented.'' She said.

I nodded and we talked and played on the piano, writing the rest of song for hours. Getting to know each other, when next I know she says, "Know what, I think you are great for my son." I smiled and gave her a hug. "Thank you, Kieran's mother." I said. She shook her head and said, '' Call me Rose."

quote of the day: love is the mirror of hate

THE CRIPPLED PETAL

Nothing of the beginning

Worried about the end

Crippled petals sunken to their green grave

They were never true

Some buised as a bud

Never apt in formation

Hue faded

By loss of hope, care

Last of the crop

And as the petal draws its last breath

Its dream to be a rose dries with it

But everytime a life as sad as this ends

The sky cries out

A glory a memory the dream

Is born for that petal

The beauty inside

Now out

Still though no one sees

i hope you liked my poem. it wasnt really a happy go lucky thing but nothing real is always happy. anyway i was just up set when i wrote that poem any way, i have a lot more up lifting.

Look around.
The sun is setting, and the past melts into the dark sky.
The wind is blowing through your hair,
And it combs out your lies.
The lasting sun rays dry the remaining tears
And the stars are smiling down at you.
You try to smile back, but wait-!
Even though the sun has set,
It's like you can still see some rays.
Your hair seems to crawl with regrets,
And you wonder why your cheeks are still wet.
And then you scream and you cry and you shut your eyes.
And then you open your eyes.
Look around.

Sorry to annoy you with all of this crap. You know i love you guys, right?

Well, let's start with the bad news. Isaiah is in my English class and I'm not exactly sure what to do about it.

And English is my favorite subject.

After school, he had took of his shirt to reveal this tank thingy, and I was like, oh mi gawd! He's hot >.> ignore that

And I stared at him all evil and his friend, Richard, was all, "Is she high on something?"

Yes I am high. High on emotions? lol.

I walked away, and I felt like crying, because I just want to get rid of these feelings! But what about everything that's happened in the past year? Don't that mean annyyytthiinnng? But at the same time, I wish I could just forget about everything he did....

But I also wish he could just be honest.

I told him once that because I was staring at him all evil all the time(this was in 7th grade) was because I liked him, and he was all "say what now?" and I wonder if that memory came into his mind. Then he would get it. But it's not like he cares anymore. And I guess thats what I want. For him to care.

But that wouldn't make sense, because plently of other people care, but that doesn't seem like enough. It makes me feel stupid. And unfocused.

I know these blogs seem annoying, but the sad truth is, you are the only people I can turn too. It's kind of sad, but at least I know I'm being taken seriously at least a little bit. When I write these, I feel so much better. You have no idea. And thankyou for the comments in my last blog. You know I love you all!! *hugs*

Wow....reading that last paragrpah makes me feel like a loner outside the blogging world -.-

And I no longer feel "high on emotions" because they're spilled all over this page. lol

Now, for good news! My old 7th grade teacher is going to revise some parts of my book, Faliea. I'm writing the introduction over, and quite a few chapters. I'm going to type the introduction probaly after I finish my homework and then...

Oh god. I forgot to ask my old 6th grade teacher to write a recommendation(did I spell that right) letter for the tween reporter thing. GOT TO DO THAT TOMORROW.

Okay, back to the book....by the time I'm in 11th grade, I WANT IT TO BE PUBLISHED!!! And I also want the tween reporter form to be turned in by the end of this month.

And apologize to Isaiah? Probaly not. Just act like nothing ever happened, and let him figure it out. I don't know.

Blog getting to long. sigh.

This is another poem i wrote! Comment and tell me how it is!

Life is so short

Sometimes I feel like I can't hold on

I wonder if we cry the same tears

If we're both afraid of being forgotten

Of turning into another story

In a hundred years no one will speak of me

I'll have dissapeared long ago

My remains in a coffin

My memory will be a whispered story

But in the end we're all a story

Hadley here to tell you about a VERY GOOD BOOK I read over the summer. It's called Radiance by Alyson Noel. This book will be coming out in September 2010. It is about a twelve-year-old girl named Riley Bloom who lives in the world of Here above the earth plane. Each ghost gets a job. She has been titled "Sould Catcher" and her first task is to give the Radiant Boy or should I say boys an extra "push" over the bridge. But when she meets her guide, Bodhi, she isn't too impressed. But that's just the jist of the story.

In this book I really liked...

1. How the author makes this character, Riley, seem like a REAL twelve-year-old. With myself being twelve I really can connect to her and she truely seems like she has the problems, wants, and the style of a girl my age.

2. The comebacks. I think the comebacks and remarks in this book are funny, clever, and definetly something a tween would say depending on who the person she is talking to is.

3. The story line. It just is unique and I have never read anything like it before. The way the author creates her own "Heaven" and the way it works.

4. The wording. I like how there are some nice word choices here and there making it enjoyable for advanced readers but she uses them so if you didn't know what they meant you could still understand it. That benefits younger readers as well.

5. How it grabs you. The story captures me in the first chapter. It is a few lines long but is very powerfull. It's job is to capture you so you want to continue on with the journey by reading.

6. How it puts you in the book. I was reading a chapter or two in my room. Normally when the phone rings, no matter what, I jump to it and pick it up. I was so into the story that I didn't even hear it ring. After, my parents asked me "Why didn't you jump for the phone?".

7. The chapter size. Some are short, some are long, and some are just right. This allows me to say "Okay, I'll read one chapter now, and another later!".

8. The names of the characters. In the beginning, cheerleader girl says the speaker is Perseus. With my being Greek, I know he is a Greek demi-god in Greek Myths. Now I still am not sure if that was meant to be the same person but I like how she used that name. I also like Bodhi's name.

9. The book size. This book can be a quick read. No doubt it's something I'd like to read again.

10. The whole thing overall. I must admit there is not one thing I don't like about this book. I just listed it all the pros and there are no cons. I would rate it FIVE STARS if I was a critic. And I guess I am. Now I have something to look forward to, the second book coming out in Spring 2011. Give this book a chance if you are able to your hands on it in September.

Be like amermaid,

~Hadley!

Good morning, my fellow Reporters & lovely girls of Allykatzz!

A few days ago I had the immense pleasure of interviewing the amazing author, Angie Frazier.

Recently, Mrs. Frazier has written her first book, Everlasting, & the book intrigued me so much I had to ask her for an interview!

Mrs. Frazier graciously accepted & I asked her twelve questions about her, her writing & her inspiration. I had so much fun! She was funny, & made me smile & laugh a lot. Mrs. Frazier is definitely what I would want to be like when I become an author. (; I really enjoyed her answers, they were awesome, so I hope YOU love this interview just as much as I do!!

1. Your book,  Everlasting,  is an alluring story about a young adult girl, Camille. Is her character based on anyone you know? Camille is definitely her own person. I don’t know anyone quite like her, but I think if I did, I’d want to be her friend!

2. When did you first discover your love for writing? I must have been six or seven, or however old I was when I learned to write. I loved to write stories, and even drew pictures to go along with them. However, I soon discovered art was not my strength! Words were, though, so I kept at it.

3. Is there a message in your book that you want readers to get? Honestly, I don’t want to tell my readers what message to find within the story. I want them to discover it for themselves, even if it’s not the one I had in mind when I wrote it. Everyone experiences a book in a different way—and every way is the right way.

4. If you had to do it all over, is there anything you would like to change in your book? Yes! Just about every single sentence! I’m proud of my book, but the perfectionist writer in me will not rest, even when a book is in print. I just know that I have to move on to the next project.

5. Are you planning on a sequel to  Everlasting? Absolutely! It’s due to release in June 2011. The title and cover will be unveiled in the fall. I am so excited about this next book!

6. Everlasting has everything: romance, adventure, secrets, magic. Which authors are your main source of inspiration or who inspired you? So many authors! I love honest romance, where the girl doesn’t obsess or cling to a boy out of need. Jane Austen was a big inspiration for that. But I also like a little bit of tragedy, too, so Edith Wharton and Shakespeare inspired me there. I also adore Sarah MacLean, MM Kaye, Suzanne Collins, Cassandra Clare, Natalie Babbitt.

7. I wish that adventure like that could happen every day! If you could, would you jump into your book & live Camille's life? If I could jump in and out of my books whenever I wanted, I would be in heaven! I don’t think I could handle Camille’s life full time, but a visit here and there would be awesome! Especially if I got to jump into Everlasting’s chapter 12 (*waggles eyebrows deviously*)

8. You have a book called  The Midnight Tunnel: A Suzanna Snow Mystery coming out next year. Is this book written in the same style as  Everlasting, or did you make a big change in your writing? It’s a big change! It’s in first person instead of third person, and the narrator is an 11-year-old girl. More than anything else in the world, Zanna wants to be a detective just like her famous uncle, Detective Bruce Snow. Zanna’s voice is completely different from Camille’s, and was actually much easier to write! I really connected with her.

9. I know that I will be reading  The Midnight Tunnel for sure, I am addicted to mysteries! Is Suzanna's character based on you? Suzanna seems very different from Camille to me & I wanted to know if your inspiration came from a different place. Zanna is definitely more like me than Camille. I loved mysteries as a kid (still do!), and just writing in first person brought me so much closer to Zanna than I ever felt to Camille. I don’t think I could ever base a character on myself—I feel I’m way too boring for that!—but Zanna does have my longing for adventure and mystery.

10. Will you be writing a sequel to The Midnight Tunnel, or making it into a series? I’m nearly finished with the second Suzanna Snow mystery (releasing in 2012), and I am very hopeful it will become a short series. I don’t want to have the books go on and on forever…perhaps four or five in all. But I’m having too much fun with Zanna to say goodbye to her right now!

11. If you could have lunch with the characters from your books, what would you tell them? I would ask them to please be less complex because really, they can be tough to figure out! I’d tell Camille to open up more and not hide her feelings so much; I’d tell Oscar he has really nice muscles; I’d tell Ira he shouldn’t gamble; and I’d tell Zanna to keep dreaming big!

12. Would you like your books to be made into movies? If so, who would you consider to be your dream cast? Well just about everyone I’ve fantasized about this with says that Alex Pettyfer would be the ideal Oscar (and I heartily agree!), and that Lucy Hale would be a lovely Camille. If Zanna were to ever be cast, I would just hope there was a young actress out there who looks exactly like the girl on the cover (which will be revealed this fall too!).

Well, this interview has been wonderful, I really loved asking you these questions!  ;) Thank YOU Sarah, these were great questions!

Well, girls, what did you think? This was my very first interview, & my wish was that it would be with an author, & here we are!! I really like Mrs. Frazier, & I hope we can remain contact. (;

dark angel is what you could call something that evil but that has some spark to it.i told my mom that i dont want to go to school the next day but she said i had to.i dont want to face all my friends who lately have been dieing to know why ive been so out of it.and on top of that i have boyfriend problems.the first bell rang and i walked in the room thinking that i dont want to see everyone looking at the girl who skipped the last week.but something stopped me as soon as my foot hit the floor...omgomgomg all i could see was blood everywhere and everyone spreaded  in a sitting position.....hold up maybe this is my eyes playing tricks on me.so i closed my eyes and pinched my arm over and over but nothing happened.then i opened my eyes and this next part stopped me cold...you should have said yes and joined me.i pushed my thoughts of my friends, family, and my boyfriend and faced my worsed fear and turned around and stared my lover and enemy dead in the eyes.as i told you i dont like you(again a lie)and i never want anything to do with you and your stupid tribe of vampires ok so take your freaks and get out of here.crap i shouldnt have said that cause now his face showed no mercy and as fast  as i said that he threw me into the wall and said you shouldnt have said that stupid girl.i know.next thing i was kissing him and then something happend that i didnt every thought he could do.he                 he bit me.....

"Zoey, you need to stop searching. A judge is not going to let you live with some random person." I looked at Tommy with a frown on my face and shook my head. "It's not going to be some random person, Tommy. It's going to be someone I know and trust." "Oh really? So who do you have written on that list?" I slid the blank paper behind me. "A few people..."

A week later, I had not found anyone. So I was putting the last of my boxes into my car so I could take them to my new home...my aunt's house. "This is ridiculous," I muttered as I closed my trunk and opened my driver's door. "Shouldn't have to do this..."

"Keith, I feel bad." "Why?" Keith asked Kait. "Well Zoey checked out of school last Friday and we'll never see her again." "Kait, why do you even care? You were seriously mad at her yesterday! And now you're just suddenly missing her?" "You can't honestly say that you don't feel bad now that we'll never see her again?" "No Kait, I honestly don't." "Whatever," Kait mumbled as she walked away from Keith. Something had to be done about this.

Zoey finished putting away the last of her things and collapsed onto her bed. "New school tomorrow," she said to the ceiling. She took a deep breath and said, "This is going to be horrible."
