A new device has been made to use on unruly prisoners in an LA prison. It's called the Assault Itervention Device (AID) and the machine blasts the unruly prisoners with a ray of heat. This machine is causing outcry everywhere, with people calling it torture and an abuse of prisoners. The machine is controlled by an operater in another room who lines up the target with a joystick. The ACLU has stated that "a weapon that can cause serious injury is being put into a place where there is a long history of abuse to prisoners. That's a toxic combonation." In my opinion, this machine is a horrible use of trying to tame prisoners and that they have no rights to abuse prisoners with so much power. What do YOU think about this machine?
