First lady Michelle Obama doesn't put much stock in standardized tests. "Don't let those tests defeat you. Don't let those tests define you," she told a group of about 30 students at Denver's South High School on Monday as part of a day of mentoring in the city. "When I was growing up, I was never a great standardized test-taker," but she ended up attending Princeton University, Mrs. Obama said. I'm have test anxiety and it's not a walk in the park for me, but my grades are good, I am involved in school activities, and volunteer often. Writing applications now I find that I have to put my weaknesses upfront and to let them know how I can continue to fight on despite those obstacles. Tests shouldn't define us...our hard work should. ♥” |

There are definately other things, and we all learn in different ways. The tests are good, though. If you don't do fantastic on the tests, you know you may just need to stop being late to class and work at your grades and actually do something at school. If you're doing great on the tests, you can be very proud of yourself! Keep up the good work, you know? -Ally” |
