Hey, you guys! I haven't been on Allykatzz in forever, but now that I have come back on and seen all they Twilight blogs, I thought it would be a good idea to voice my opinion on this "vampire" series.
In late July of 2007, after I'd finished reading the seventh Harry Potter book, I decided to find another good series to read. Alot of my friends raved about Twilight, but I wasn't so sure. But after a while of having nothing to read, I picked it up anyway. After reading Twilight, I got hooked and read the next two novels, but got sad again when I had nothing to read, so I reread Twilight. When I reread it, I started to really hate it. The characters were so bland, Bella was so paranoid and annoying, and Edward was really creepy. I started questioning why I even liked the series to begin with.
Now that thats out of the way, here is why I dislike Twilight: For one, the characters are very 1-demensional. Bella has no flaws pointed out in the books. She is described as normal and boring and not beautiful like her stunning boy friend, which is why alot of the readers can relate to Bella. But does that make her a very good character? No, it doesn't. Number 2, Bella and Edward's relationship. Their relationship, IMO, is horrible. They claim to be in love, but they aren't. Its lust. Edward loves the way Bella smells, and Bella love the way Edward looks. How in the world is that love? Another thing about their relationship is the abuse that gets confused with love. What abuse am I talking about? I'm talking about when Edward forbade Bella from visiting her best friend, Jacob, in Eclipse by taking out the engine from her truck and having his sister and mother have a "sleep over" with her, but it wasn't a sleep over, they kidnapped her and kept her at the Cullen's for the weekend. Number Three, The bad message it sends to young readers: Alot of my friends, when done reading the series, wanted their Edward Cullen because he's "so cute and awesome". But what is so awesome about Edward? In New Moon, when he left Bella, Bella nearly killed herself twice just be with him. How is that a good message to send to girls? And also, in Eclipse when the couple was about to do you-know-what, Edward says that he won't do that with her until they get married, but Bella to marry him only if she can do that when she's human. So pretty much, Bella marries Edward so that she will can do that with him. How on Earth is that a good message? I'll stop here even though there are alot more reasons why I don't like the series. If you want to have a discussion, please do. I would very much enjoy it. But please, read the the sign. I HATE bad grammar way more than I hate Twilight.

Could you guys please write stories that are not about the Jonas Brothers. I know they are so big right now and all the girls love them, but please. These JB fanfics are really starting to make me mad. Is this all you guys can write about? I know you've got way more potential than that. So please, people, write stories that come from your head, not they way fanfics do. I'm sorry if any of you get offended, I'm just speaking my mind.

I sat beside the window on Lucky’s side of the room and watched and waited for Josie and Lucky to drive away. When I was sure that they’d left, I left my room. I walked down the hallway past Riley, Nella, and the room that Chester and Rowen shared and came across another room with it’s door slightly open. As I came closer to the room the sound of an electric sewing machine became louder. I knocked lightly and the door pushed open slightly.
“Yes,” the voice of Av called over the loud machine. “Who is it.” The machine stopped and Av pulled the door open and smiled.
“Hi, Delphi.” she greeted. “What brings you here?”
“Oh, er, nothing.” I said. “I was just…roaming.”
“Well, come in,” she said.
I walked in and looked around the room. The walls were covered with patterned wall paper, making the room look very retro. There were framed magazine covers from the 60’s on the walls as well. Some Mannequins wore short, brightly colored knit dresses while others wore long, dark hippie dresses.
“What is this room?” I asked.
“Hmm?” Av looked up from an old painted art deco vase. “Oh, this is my hobby room. I really like retro things, though I don’t really like calling them retro.”
I went over to one of the mannequins and played with the sleeve of the hippie dress. “Did you make this?” I asked. “It’s really pretty.”
“Thanks, I made that in 1966. It’s one of my favorites.” she said.
“Why aren’t you ever in here?”
“Eh, I don’t. Its just what I do when Jess is gone.”

“And I suppose that you haven’t found her yet?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Riley shook his head. “Nope, but I’m sure she’ll turn up sooner or later,” He looked at me and smiled, and I smiled back. Riley spread his wings. “Come on, I’ll race you to Lucky’s balcony.”
Saturday seemed as dull as ever without my training partner to keep me company. He was busy hunting in the Old Speck Mountains with his two brothers.
I flipped lazily through this month’s--April’s--iss ue of UK Vogue. I glanced the faces of the young, thing models and their frowning lips. They were all beautiful, and I wondered if I looked like them. I copied the position the a blonde David Yurman model.
“Are we interrupting something?” the soft voice of Josie called out.
I shut the magazine, shook my head, and smiled. “No, no,” I said. “You’re interrupting nothing.”
Josie gave me a nervous smile. “Well, Lucky and I are going to Augusta for the weekend.” Lucky poked her head out from behind Josie and waved. “I have a convention to go to, so we decided to spend part of the weekend together.” she explained.
“I guess I’ll see you around then,” I waved goodbye to Josie and Lucky, and they waved back. Josie closed the door behind them as they left.
I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed. I could tell that Josie knew how uncomfortable I was around her, making her just as uncomfortable around me. Forgiving Josie was hard, but I did it because I knew that she only changed me for the greater good of mankind.

Training with Riley over the past few weeks seemed to get stranger and stranger as time went on. Strange in a sense that it wasn’t like the very first training session between Riley and I. What was even weirder was the level of competitiveness Riley had had diminished. He wouldn’t fight life he used to, even when I would taunt him.
I waved my arms at him, signaling him to stop. I sighed. “Riley, what’s going on?” I asked.
He gave me a puzzled look. “What do you mean?” he asked.
“What I mean is, why aren’t you acting like did before?”
“I was angry then, and I’m not now.” he said.
I placed my hands on his shoulders and looked him dead in the eyes. “Then get angry. Show your emotions. Just let it out.” So he did as I said and pushed me.
The rest of the afternoon went better than the past couple weeks had, but the walk home was the same and still different.
We walked quietly through the forest as we normally did. Racking our brains for some kind of conversation starter and never really having a discussion.
“Hey, Delphi?”
I looked up at him surprised. “Yes?”
He bit his tongue and looked the other way as he spoke. “Have you ever had a boyfriend?”
I folded my arms and jokingly looked at him sternly. “And where’s this coming from?”
“Nowhere, I just wanted to know.” he said. “So…have you?”
“Well, if internet boyfriends count, then I guess I have.”
“Who was he?”
“His name was Jonathan and he was from Florida. We started talking for the first time on AOL instant messenger and forty-five minutes later he was my boyfriend. Then thirty minutes later, when we’d gotten into an argument about which football team was better, the New England Patriots or the Miami Dolphins, he broke up with me.” I wiped a fake teardrop from my eye. “I was sad for almost five minutes, but then SpongeBob came on television and I’d forgotten that I even went out with him.” I looked back at Riley. “You ever had a girlfriend?”
“Yes,” Riley admitted. “It was Nella.”
“You and Nella?” I gasped.
“Shocking, I know,” he agreed.
“What happened to you two?”
“We realized that we weren’t meant for each other and that we were better off acting like brother and sister.”
“How did you come to that realization?”
“I don’t really know how I knew, I just knew. When you’re like us, you just know who you want and who you don’t want to be in love with for the rest of eternity.”

When we’d arrived to our practice area, Riley started off by showing me how to protected myself with my wings, but unlike the day before I succeeded on my first try.
“That’s good, but next time fold your wings tighter around your chest and tuck your head in. Now lets try this again.” I unfolded my wings, exposing my face and torso. “Ready?” he asked.
I nodded, and immediately Riley’s foot was coming directly to my head. I quickly folded my wings across my chest and buried my head in my chest, blocking Riley’s kick.
Thud! I unfolded my wings and saw Riley laying on his back. I kneeled down next to him and held out my hand. “Are you alright?” I asked.
“I should be asking you that,” he mumbled as he grabbed both hands on my forearm, then suddenly I was flipped over 180 degrees and Riley was standing over me.
I was baffled. “What was that for?” I asked from the ground.
“That was for being better than me.” he said.
“So you want to me to do bad in everything we’re doing today just for your own sheer pride?” I said.
“Well, when you put it that way it sounds idiotic,” Riley said.
“It is idiotic!” I bellowed. “I thought you wanted to help me?”
“I do but--”
“But you’re just not used to anyone being better than you, is that it?”
“No, its--”
“Well, let me tell you something, Riley James Meadows, I may not be better than you now, but I will be soon enough.” I spat. “Now, lets go on.”
He stared at me blankly.
“Didn’t you hear me? I said, lets go on!”
We spent the rest of the afternoon battling. Every time Riley would knock me off my feet, I would get back up and use his own moves against him. It was amazing how well Riley fought. Watching him fight against me was like watching a gymnast perform unbelievable daredevil stunts. I would try my best to keep up with him, but that’s a hard task to do when you are constantly taunted.
“How are you keeping up?” Riley asked with a sly grin.
“Better than you,” I said as I lunged myself forward, but suddenly found myself pinned against the trunk of a nearby tree, Riley’s chest against mine and our faces just centimeters apart. He breathed cool air on my face, blowing my disheveled hair out of my eyes.
I looked down at my chest nervously. “Um…Riley, do you mind?”
“Hmm?” I seemed to have disrupted his train of thought. He looked down at me in a confused manner, then quickly backed away from me and tucked his wings into his back. “I’m sorry,” he apologized. “How about we end our practice session now?”

I am over Sam once and for all.
I will no longer spend my days watching him sit alone on the bleachers, staring into space.
I will no longer look at his beautiful face, day in and day out.
I will no longer shed another tear as I think about Sam and his girlfriend, who is probably older and prettier than me.
I will no longer stay up till dawn and think about what could be.
I will no longer defend him when my friends call him a scruffy hillbilly.
I will no longer ask Laura stupid questions about him.
I will no longer gaze at him from afar as he runs laps with his classmates.
I will no longer think of ways to talk to him.
I will no longer talk about him like the boy-crazed teenage girl that I am.
I will no longer be amazed by his mediocre basketball skills.
I will no longer daydream replay his sweet voice in my head.
I will no longer be afraid to speak to him, because I won’t want to speak with him.
Sam will no longer be my infatuation , but he will always be the first boy that I ever fell in love with.

Lucky, Av, Riley, and Jess stopped running and walked over to Nella and I. Lucky and Av snickered on the way over.
“Get off,” Nella growled while pushing me off her chest. “Yes, you caught me, but you still aren’t amazing yet.” Nella jumped up and dusted off her black leather pants. She walked to one of the corners of the practice space and everyone looked back at her. “What are you waiting for? I thought we were training Delphi,” Riley, Av, Lucky, and Jess all nodded in agreement and went to different corners and we began the exercise again. After that, we did it another time, and another, and one last time for the day.
The six of us kicked off on our heels and flew back to the mansion. “What’s on the agenda for tomorrow?” I asked as I flew up to Jess and Av.
“Ask Riley, he’s the best at defense.” Av answered.
I stopped batting my wings and soared on the wind currents causing me to slow down and glided to the back of the group of flying vampires where Riley flew peacefully by himself.
“Hey,” I said quietly.
“Hello,” he greeted. Riley looked down at the tall forest trees and eyed all the small birds that perched themselves on the treetops. “What do we look like from the ground?” Riley asked.
I looked back to the first day that I met Riley when he’d saved me from the Demons and when he called his flock.
“We look like birds from down there.” I replied.
“I guess that means that we fly like birds, then.” Riley said.
“No,” I corrected. “Like vampires. We fly like vampires.”

I heard a few raps on my bedroom door and looked up from the book I was reading. “Come in,” I called from my bed.
The door swung open a few inches and Nella’s head popped through the crack. “Are you ready?” she asked, her red lips curling into a smile.
I closed my book. “For what exactly?”
“For practice, Delphi,” she informed me. “You didn’t think you could beat Hecate simply out of strength, did you?”
“Well, yeah, I kind of did actually.” I hopped off my bed and slipped on a pair of tennis shoes, then headed out the door with Nella. Nella pointed her toes as she walked and cocked her necked as she took each new step. She pulled her pure black hair behind into a ponytail and let her hair rest on her shoulder.
“What exactly are we doing?” I asked when we reached the stairs.
“You’ll see,” Nella said, giving me a toothy grin.
The two of us walked to the forest behind the house and found where the others were. We found Jess, Av, Riley, and Lucky in a bare area with trees that fenced of the rest of the forest. Lucky talked animatedly while Riley listened intently to her. And Av and Jess played around with each other like love struck teenagers. As we walked farther into area the rest of them became more aware of our presence. Av pried Jess’s arms off her when she noticed that Nella and I had arrived. Lucky turned her head towards us and waved. Riley waved as well.
Twigs and old leaves crackled under our feet as we walked towards the group.
“Delphi, stand in the middle,” Jess said, pointing to the center of our practice area. “I want you to stand completely still until I say ‘go’,” he began. “When I do say ‘go’, the five of us will run in haphazard directions and you will try and catch one of us at a time. Hecate is very quick and catching her is a very hard task…Go.”
Suddenly the five vampires were now blurry blobs running in all directions. I ran forward and tried to catch the first blob that caught my eye. It was pink one and I knew it had to be Lucky, the youngest of all of them, not including me. I kicked up on my heels and thought I’d pounced on her, but actually I’d only caught the air. Now, getting back up, I made it goal to catch Lucky, so I broke out into a speedy run until I was only inches away from her. I stretched my arms out and reached for her blouse and grabbed it, but Lucky was too fast for me and the cloth slipped out of my hands.
Next, I went after Av and the same thing happened. I came within arms length of her, reached out for her and missed.
I slowed down to a stop and gave up. It was impossible.
“Okay,” I said, “you can stop now. I give up.”
“Close your eye,” Jess instructed. “Close your eyes and listen hard. When you feel someone coming close take off and go for them.”
I did as he told me and shut my eyes and listened hard. I could hear the zooms the vampires made as the ran past me. I tried to focus on where everyone was, but It was useless, I still couldn’t tell where to go.
“Concentrate,” Jess called.
I listened to him and concentrated on the sounds around me. There was a distinct sound coming from my left. Every few seconds I would here a loud rustle of leaves. So I took my chance when after the vampire making the sound. I squatted my legs and lunged towards the sound and tackled Nella.
