Soon on Ally Katzz, we will have a section dedicated to Questions and Answers in relation to ‘Tween Hits’, where I will answer YOUR questions about how things work within music and the music industry... Though it’s still in the works, I thought I’d get started by explaining what demos are... I know some of you did not understand what artist was singing on the songs posted under the new ‘Tween Hits’ section... This is where I will explain what a ‘demo’ is! A demo is a recording of a song that is not intended for release, but for “demonstration” purposes so to speak... For example, if I write and record a song that I want to pitch to an established artist, or for a future release of my own as an artist, I would record a demo of this song. Since some songwriters do not sing themselves, they hire ‘demo vocalists” to come in the studio and record vocals on the song... I hope this answer was helpful to you!
